Major Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with problems to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor died and three other people were wounded.

The strikes come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for more assaults.
