It has been confirmed that beloved actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Production is currently underway.

An Important Return to Panem

Lawrence and Hutcherson are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. Speculation suggests their roles will probably be featured in a future-set scene, as the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.

This represents the sixth cinematic outing in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.

• Jesse Plemons is playing Plutarch Heavensbee.
• Ralph Fiennes is cast as a earlier incarnation of the menacing President Snow.

What the Stars Are Doing Now & The Film's Schedule

Separately, Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for a Golden Globe for the film Die My Love. Josh Hutcherson is part of the successful franchise Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
